Background

Background

I joined Navneet Top Tech as a UI/UX Design intern in 2023, where I worked on three different projects, which were my very first real projects as a UX designer. These included tasks such as conducting user research by interviewing school staff to introduce new features, documenting user flows of the entire software, and collaborated with the product owner and QA at different parts of the projected

My Impact

My Impact

  • Designed a new feature for the platform within a week, conducted user interviews in schools to understand current behaviors and task flows, and collaborated with the product owner to ensure it met the requirements.

  • Documented user flows of the entire software across multiple devices to ensure a seamless experience and identify gaps and frictions for optimization.

  • Collaborated with the product owner and QA to address user feedback and implement changes to increase user satisfaction.

My Learning

My Learning

  • Cross-functional collaboration during the design phase gave me new insights and constraints, which helped me design products with a better understanding of user needs and business requirements.

  • Bringing visuals is helpful when sharing initial ideas with cross-functional partners. By sharing low-fidelity wireframes as visual representations of ideas after research, I could better communicate with the product owner, QA, CPO, and senior designers about the idea and task flow.

  • Being proactive, doing the assigned tasks is one thing, but communicating and taking the initiative to contribute to projects got me opportunities that were fully my responsibility and even received initial approval for the development phase.

  • Putting yourself in the shoes of users is important. When I initially audited the product, I made some notes for improvement that later aligned with user feedback, leading to changes in the final designs.
